On this blog the members of Sky-is-the-Limit group show the results of the challenge quilts they make. We started with each quarter a new theme, but have changed this to a monthly theme. Knowing that life can interfere with good intentions it is not compulsary to make a quilt each month, but at least 4 quilts per year should be doable. Every quilt measures 12"x12".

Poem ..... or no poem
I have to confess that I have not found a poem which I can use for a quilt. Actually I have not even found a poet :-(. To be honest I can not even recall when I read a poem. I read a lot, but no poetry. So unless you can give me a good clue, I will not be able to show a quilt by the end of the coming week.

I am using a nonsense poem from Lewis Carroll which is a take off of a nursery rhyme and working it in a way I have not really used, virtually all the bits are fused with minimal sewing, well that is how it is on my table at the moment. Of course it could change radically.
ReplyDeleteHow about Spike Milligan and his nonsense poems to give you wide latitude of interpretation.
How about taking a word you like or idea say, windmills and putting it into search engine with word poem/poetry
Irene MacWilliam
Thanks Irene. I never heard of Spike Milligan but I found a fun poem by him. At last I can start for this theme :-)
