Snow flake

When I picked the theme snow I had no idea that we would get it so quickly. Don't blame this weather on me :-)).
For this theme I decided to focus on snow flake. After I made the sandwich - using a piece of snow dyed fabric - I stitched the outlines of a snow flake. The snowflake I painted with pearl white Lumiere textile paint. Added some snow flake buttons and the quilt was complete. It is very early in the month, but this quilt was a quick one.

  1. I like the various sizes of snow flakes. I wondered would people us snow dyed fabrics, for this project. We have not had enough snow for me to try the process, 2 years ago when we had snow I was recovering from an operation. I must try it with the defrostings of our freezer.

    1. If you do not have snow, you can also use ice cubes. The pattern is a bit different, but still very attractive.

  4. I love it, the offsetting of the large shape really grounds it. No doubt we will get more snow to dye with!
