When I picked the theme snow I had no idea that we would get it so quickly. Don't blame this weather on me :-)).
For this theme I decided to focus on snow flake. After I made the sandwich - using a piece of snow dyed fabric - I stitched the outlines of a snow flake. The snowflake I painted with pearl white Lumiere textile paint. Added some snow flake buttons and the quilt was complete. It is very early in the month, but this quilt was a quick one.
I like the various sizes of snow flakes. I wondered would people us snow dyed fabrics, for this project. We have not had enough snow for me to try the process, 2 years ago when we had snow I was recovering from an operation. I must try it with the defrostings of our freezer.
ReplyDeleteIf you do not have snow, you can also use ice cubes. The pattern is a bit different, but still very attractive.
DeleteLovely cool winter colours!
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely,Wil. I do like the different sizes of snow flake and those delightful buttons.
ReplyDeleteWell done.It made me feel chilly!
DeleteI love it, the offsetting of the large shape really grounds it. No doubt we will get more snow to dye with!
