THE FUTURE OF THE GROUP?

Are we going to continue as I have not heard anything?  If so, I shall make the effort to finish my two pieces quickly. If not, I shall take my time.

I am enjoying coping & thinking about different subjects as well as liking to work small.  I, for one, would miss the challenges a lot.

  1. I am very keen for this group to continue but with very few of us posting it is not looking good. I for one would miss it and would love to join another group if it does go under. Like Jenny I love having to think how to interpret the various themes that come up.

  2. I am still trying to come up with an idea for -Long Way Home.

  3. There are very few members who participate. I tried to get new members but have not been able to find them. Is it an option to change the monthly themes into 3 or 4. Monthly ones?

  4. If we could get a few more members with perhaps the target of 4 new 12 inch squares a year then I would go for that.
Would that be more likely to attract members?
If so should we have 2 themes to select from
or what if members took it in turn to choose a theme or 2 if we go with above.
Just suggesting ideas as they pop into my head.

  5. I do appreciate the work you have put in, Wil. Have you thought, or tried, the CQ group? I can put a message on the group site if you want as I understand that you are no longer a member. Perhaps we could ask the members of 'Sky'if they wish to continue & on what terms. I know that Irene enjoys this challenge as much as I do. Hope that this helps to resolve the uncertainty.

  6. Jenny, if you want to ask CQ, that would be great. I have asked the Sky members and besides you only Margaret responded. I think it would be best when we can continue the group to scale it down to 4 quilts per year.

  7. Hi Jenny Yes lets go with asking on the CQ site. I am having problems with my email that look like I may not get access for at least 30 days if ever so am feeling a bit fed up with several important bits of info re ongoing things that I am not able to get to.

  10. I would be interested too. I enjoy interpreting themes and 1 small quilt a quarter doesn't sound too onerous!

  14. Dear Wil
I have just written to your address on your blog & this was the address I placed on my CQ post. Was that OK or do you want me to tell CQ members to leave a note on this blog? I see some already have so are we going to have a restart? May I suggest that we could, perhaps, take Irene's idea e.g a choice of 2 subjects & the members propose them in rotation? This would take some of the burden off you.

  15. Hi Jenny,
It is no burden at all. I would suggest that we take this discussion to the yahoo group (where it actually belongs) and that I create a poll for the new themes.
