On this blog the members of Sky-is-the-Limit group show the results of the challenge quilts they make. We started with each quarter a new theme, but have changed this to a monthly theme. Knowing that life can interfere with good intentions it is not compulsary to make a quilt each month, but at least 4 quilts per year should be doable. Every quilt measures 12"x12".

November theme
OEQC is over and I am home again where my motherlist of themes is. For the coming month our theme will be Tree of Life. Hopefully this will inspire us all more than the previous ones :-).

I have an image of a Tree of Life that I have to work to for an Embroidery project. It is the "Passion and Legacy" project and the image I have is taken from the 'Tree of Life' Carew wall panels that are housed in Girton College, Cambridge, UK. We have been given a non woven substrate, (not available for purchase by individuals) for a mixed media textile response and a photograph as inspiration. After months of contemplating I came up with an idea 2 days ago so I think I might regard this Sky is the Limit challenge as an opportunity to try out my interpretation.
